About Kate

My passion for interior design began as a teenager, when I would be regularly changing around the furniture in my room, making soft furnishings and trawling my mum's home magazines while all my friends were reading 'Jackie'.  Honing my skills on five house renovations has fuelled my love for all things interior design related and I have become the go-to person for friends and family needing advice on everything from paint and fabric choices to building extensions and knocking down walls!   Having brought up a family (and a dog!), I understand how important it is for your home to be practical and comfortable, as well as reflecting your own personal style.  I also realise that the idea of having an interior designer might seem quite intimidating and out of reach for those of us with a more modest budget, so whether you don't know where to start or you already have some ideas of your own, whether you need help with a full room redesign, or you're struggling to finish off a space you've already started, my mission is to be a 'design friend' offering you fresh ideas; advice on use of space; colour, fabric, furniture and lighting choices and empowering you to take forward your own project with confidence.
